Writing a CV can be a difficult but important task. Remember your CV is the main sales tool when trying to secure yourself an interview. You must highlight your relevant skills and experience along with your suitability for the position you seek.
When writing your CV the following key points are important to remember.
- • Aim to write approx 2-3 pages. Any longer than this and there is a danger that your whole CV may not be read fully.
- • Keep it clear concise and succinct.
- • Keep it all in black type, stay away from pictures and colours.
- • Make sure all the start and finish dates are included with not just the year but also the months.
- • Don’t leave any gaps in your CV that could raise questions.
- • Use bold text to highlight key technologies and job titles.
